Earlier in the week, reports were heard of a white shark, possibly a Great White, washing ashore along the western coast of Grand Bahama. Some of the staff of UNEXSO, being very concerned with the marine environment, went to take a look. They were shocked to see that some of the residents in the area were chopping the shark up to take home and eat. Warnings have since come from the Dept of Health not to eat the meat as it has not yet been determined what killed the shark.
