|Fonkoze to hold live webinar Wednesday for Haiti earthquake anniversary|

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti -- Fonkoze is “Haiti’s Alternative Bank for the Organized Poor.” It is the largest microfinance institution (MFI) in Haiti, serving more than 56,000 women borrowers, most of whom live and work in the countryside of Haiti, and more than 250,000 savers. With its network of 46 branches covering every region of Haiti, it is also the only MFI that is truly national in scope.
On Wednesday, January 11th, 2012, at 11am EST Fonkoze leadership will host a live webinar to discuss progress in Haiti since the earthquake and plans for the upcoming year. Fonkoze Financial Services CEO Anne Hastings and Fonkoze Director Carine Roenen will talk about Fonkoze’s work and take questions from participants. The conversation will be moderated by Alex Counts, Chair of the Fonkoze USA Board of Directors and CEO of the Grameen Foundation. The top Fonkoze leaders will talk about the work Fonkoze has done over the last two years to further Haiti and plans for 2012.
