NASSAU, Bahamas -- The Little Miss Bahamas Organization is please to announce this year’s contestants vying for the covetous title of the 2010 Little Miss Bahamas. Under the theme “It’s A Princess Affair” the little angels have participated in a number of rehearsals and pre-pageant activities including an unveiling of the contestants, swimsuit model photo shoot and preliminary competition.
The Family Islands are represented by Little Miss Abaco Madisyn Cole, Little Miss Spanish Wells Ariana Pinder, and Little Miss Freeport Da'Jenell Dixon.
The fun events include a visit to Dolphin Encounters, Clifton Heritage, Let’s Make Pizza at Dominoes Pizza, It’s a Princess Party at McDonald, Gala Princess Float Parade, Filming of Opening at Ardastra Gardens and Worship at Mt. Tabor Full Gospel. The Finale is set for November 28th, at the Rainforest Theatre at 5pm.
The preliminary events, which hosted the Judges Interview, National Costume, Stage Arts, Hello Kitty and Talent competition, drew a full house at the Sheraton Ballroom with audience leaving anticipating the outcome at the finale as the majority consented that the competition is stiff.
New to the pageant was the awarding of an inter-title, Little Miss Clifton Heritage, that was awarded by the Heritage to the contestant displaying a great knowledge of the facts and purpose of the Heritage site. Winner was Little Eleasha Knowles.
Pageant Director Ms. Gaynell Rolle, said she is so pleased with the level of accomplishment of the outgoing queens – Little Miss Adria Albury, the reigning Little Miss Bahamas, and Rikendra King the reigning Miss Pre-Teen Bahamas, who both achieved international titles at the International Competition along with Little Angel Pride who received numerous awards. Ms. Rolle stated "Little Adria now will travel with the 2011 representative to the World’s Our Little Miss Pageant in July of next year, where she will crown her successor. I hope that she will crown one of our queens; this would be another record set. The contestants in this year’s pageant all have great abilities and will represent well I believe.”
